Team Habitat

TEAM HABITAT is a company supported workday at a Habitat for Humanity of Burlington County construction site for the purpose of building employee enthusiasm and teamwork.

TEAM HABITAT can be a half day or full day event. It provides an opportunity for group planning, personal interaction and the completion of job responsibilities outside the company work environment.......while helping to build affordable housing for Burlington County Habitat approved families.

Your company provides the funding, employees provide the labor and Habitat provides all building materials for the day, training and supervision, tools and safety equipment.

 
Company Contribution: Situation specific
Group Size: Up to 30 people depending on stage of construction and weather
Location: Job Site (Habitat will advise)
Company responsibility: Submit waivers (supplied by Habitat)
Advise employees what the day will entail
Advise the employees to dress appropriately
Full Day Schedule: 8:00AM to 4:00PM
Half Day Schedule: 8:00AM to 12:00PM or 1:00PM to 4:30PM

Objectives

  • Build employee morale by partnering with Habitat for Humanity.
  • Demonstrate good corporate citizenship.
  • Participate in an enjoyable and productive workday.

Anticipated Outcomes

  • Listed objectives met.
  • Employees learn new ways to relate to one another.
  • Build company visibility (home building is a community event).
  • Provide "corporate citizen" material for internal consumption (e.g. company newsletter).
  • Learn trade skills.
  • Personal satisfaction in helping to build decent, affordable housing
